## Verdict

Same story with more smart features. Slightly more electronics to fail, which matters under this lens even if the core machine is excellent.

## For

- Current-generation step up in the Electrolux front-load line
- Covered by CNET's tested six-best verdict for Electrolux
- Named as a dependable alternative brand in owner recommendation threads
- CNET's in-depth testing names it the best washing machine for most households
- The strongest all-around performer in the ranking

## Against

- Added smart features mean more circuitry on an otherwise solid mechanical machine
- Costs flagship money for the last few percent of performance
- Long-term ownership record on this newer model is thinner than on its sibling
- Newer to market than the ELFW7637AT, so the long-term dataset is thinner

## What this tier means

- A: Excellent. Strongly recommended, beaten only by the very best.

## How to read this

- Each category is researched in four independent runs, one per lens (expert consensus, value, reliability, community pulse). Every run ranks a board of candidates that deliberately includes products buyers cross-shop but should avoid. Placements score on a ranked ladder (LP), and tiers are derived from LP, so no tier is ever assigned by hand.
- LP is this product's points on its own category ladder. It is comparable within a category and not across categories.
- Link status reports what our pre-publication link check found when it fetched the cited URL. It says nothing about the quality of the review.
- A citation with no usable link is listed rather than dropped, and is excluded from the counted total above.
