## Verdict

Tool-grade motor and battery from a brand with real support, and the most powerful grinder Wirecutter tested - the grinder most likely to still be running in year five. Battery packs are the only long-term question mark.

## For

- Clearly faster and more powerful than the six-speed runner-up
- Tool-grade motor and battery ecosystem
- Named by groomers specifically for durability and reliability
- Cordless design preferred by working groomers
- Sits at the top of Wirecutter's grinder testing

## Against

- Battery pack longevity is the main long-term question mark
- As a battery-powered grinder it cannot match steel clippers for longevity
- More noise and less pet-specific refinement than cheaper grinders deliver
- A groomer reports foot-sensitive poodles were far more comfortable on a Wahl grinder
- No current tested verdict names this specific model

## Flagged as one to avoid

This product entered 2 of 13 runs as one buyers cross-shop but should not buy, rather than as a pick. It is published here rather than dropped.

## What this tier means

- A: Excellent. Strongly recommended, beaten only by the very best.

## How to read this

- Each category is researched in four independent runs, one per lens (expert consensus, value, reliability, community pulse). Every run ranks a board of candidates that deliberately includes products buyers cross-shop but should avoid. Placements score on a ranked ladder (LP), and tiers are derived from LP, so no tier is ever assigned by hand.
- LP is this product's points on its own category ladder. It is comparable within a category and not across categories.
- Link status reports what our pre-publication link check found when it fetched the cited URL. It says nothing about the quality of the review.
- A citation with no usable link is listed rather than dropped, and is excluded from the counted total above.
