## Verdict

The best-built trap on the board, but TechRadar's testing showed it pooling and flicking debris against the Shark and Dyson it is marketed against, and Dreame's Western support and firmware-commitment footprint is unproven. Buy the Dyson V12 Detect Slim for the same feature set with a decade of backing.

## For

- Earned solid hard-floor scores in TechRadar's testing
- Offers the dust-reveal feature at a far lower cost than the Dyson it is marketed against
- Reveals 'invisible' dust with a built-in light and removes it swiftly
- Flagship-adjacent features at a budget price
- Ranked top of three budget stick vacuums worth buying by TechRadar

## Against

- Caused more debris pooling and flicking than the Shark PowerDetect and Dyson Gen5detect in direct testing
- Unproven Western parts, firmware-update and warranty footprint
- Real-world cleaning difference versus far cheaper rivals is smaller than expected, per owner discussion
- Caused more debris pooling and flicking on hard floors than premium rivals in testing
- After-sales support in Western markets remains a question mark compared to Dyson or Shark

## Flagged as one to avoid

This product entered 1 of 10 runs as one buyers cross-shop but should not buy, rather than as a pick. It is published here rather than dropped.

## What this tier means

- B: Good. A solid choice with real caveats worth knowing.

## How to read this

- Each category is researched in four independent runs, one per lens (expert consensus, value, reliability, community pulse). Every run ranks a board of candidates that deliberately includes products buyers cross-shop but should avoid. Placements score on a ranked ladder (LP), and tiers are derived from LP, so no tier is ever assigned by hand.
- LP is this product's points on its own category ladder. It is comparable within a category and not across categories.
- Link status reports what our pre-publication link check found when it fetched the cited URL. It says nothing about the quality of the review.
- A citation with no usable link is listed rather than dropped, and is excluded from the counted total above.
