## Verdict

The same reliable Braun motor family with more range, but it lives in the shadow of the MultiMix 5, which does the real work just as well with less to go wrong.

## For

- Same quiet, robust motor family as the MultiMix 5
- Wider speed range for delicate work
- Rides the award-winning MultiMix platform with more speeds
- Step-up option in the line Food Network named Best Overall and Good Housekeeping named Best for Baking
- Well built, as expected from Braun's hand mixer line

## Against

- Lives in the shadow of the MultiMix 5, which does the real work just as well with less to go wrong
- The step up from the MultiMix 5 costs more than the gains justify
- Extra electronics add failure modes compared with simpler models
- Costs meaningfully more than the MultiMix 5 without matching its results
- The extra speeds buy nothing the tests can measure over the cheaper MultiMix 5

## What this tier means

- D: Weak. Hard to recommend when better options cost similar money.

## How to read this

- Each category is researched in four independent runs, one per lens (expert consensus, value, reliability, community pulse). Every run ranks a board of candidates that deliberately includes products buyers cross-shop but should avoid. Placements score on a ranked ladder (LP), and tiers are derived from LP, so no tier is ever assigned by hand.
- LP is this product's points on its own category ladder. It is comparable within a category and not across categories.
- Link status reports what our pre-publication link check found when it fetched the cited URL. It says nothing about the quality of the review.
- A citation with no usable link is listed rather than dropped, and is excluded from the counted total above.
