## Frequently asked questions

### Who is the Baby Bjorn Cradle Light for?

Parents who want a simple, durable cradle with nothing electronic to fail. It ranks second on our bassinets board in B tier for its classic design, proven durability, light weight and folding frame. It costs more than many simple bassinets and has limited recline options. If you want a bedside sleeper that sits level with your mattress, the Maxi-Cosi Iora Bedside Bassinet is our top pick. If you want automated rocking, look at the Halo BassiNest Connected Swivel Sleeper 3.0.

### How long does the Baby Bjorn Cradle Light last?

Longer than most. Reviewers credit its proven durability to a design with minimal electronics, so there is no motor or software to wear out. It should comfortably serve more than one baby.

### Is the Baby Bjorn Cradle Light good for travel?

Yes, it is the best travel choice on our bassinets board. It is lightweight, folds, and has no electronics or power supply to pack. That makes it easy to move between rooms or take to a relative's house.

### Does the Baby Bjorn Cradle Light rock on its own?

No. It is a manual cradle with no motor, which is part of why it is so reliable. You rock it by hand or the baby's own movement does. If you want motorised rocking and white noise, the Halo BassiNest Connected Swivel Sleeper 3.0 is the smart model reviewers trusted most on our board.

### How long can a baby sleep in the Baby Bjorn Cradle Light?

Stop using it when the baby reaches the maker's weight limit, starts rolling over or pushes up on hands and knees, whichever comes first. For most babies that is roughly the first four to six months. Move to a crib after that.

## What this tier means

- B: Good. A solid choice with real caveats worth knowing.

## How to read this

- Each category is researched in four independent runs, one per lens (expert consensus, value, reliability, community pulse). Every run ranks a board of candidates that deliberately includes products buyers cross-shop but should avoid. Placements score on a ranked ladder (LP), and tiers are derived from LP, so no tier is ever assigned by hand.
- LP is this product's points on its own category ladder. It is comparable within a category and not across categories.
- Link status reports what our pre-publication link check found when it fetched the cited URL. It says nothing about the quality of the review.
- A citation with no usable link is listed rather than dropped, and is excluded from the counted total above.
