## Verdict

The rare budget-tier machine with documented five-year survival, a 4.4-star buyer record, and anti-jam auto-reverse. Proof that the value pick and the durable pick can be the same machine.

## For

- A long-term user report says it still works great with no issues after 5 years
- Buyers rate it 4.4 out of 5 citing consistent shredding performance
- 12-sheet capacity, fast shred speeds, and anti-jam auto-reverse
- Anti-jam feature that owners confirm actually works
- 12-sheet crosscut capacity

## Against

- Cross-cut security class rather than micro-cut
- Cross-cut security outclassed by micro-cut rivals at similar prices
- The weakest of the recommended options

## Flagged as one to avoid

This product entered 1 of 10 runs as one buyers cross-shop but should not buy, rather than as a pick. It is published here rather than dropped.

## What this tier means

- B: Good. A solid choice with real caveats worth knowing.

## How to read this

- Each category is researched in four independent runs, one per lens (expert consensus, value, reliability, community pulse). Every run ranks a board of candidates that deliberately includes products buyers cross-shop but should avoid. Placements score on a ranked ladder (LP), and tiers are derived from LP, so no tier is ever assigned by hand.
- LP is this product's points on its own category ladder. It is comparable within a category and not across categories.
- Link status reports what our pre-publication link check found when it fetched the cited URL. It says nothing about the quality of the review.
- A citation with no usable link is listed rather than dropped, and is excluded from the counted total above.
